Site Manager — Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities and site progress independently to ensure timely project delivery
• Interpret and apply structural drawings, specifications, and project requirements accurately in daily operations
• Supervise structural and architectural works while coordinating effectively with client representatives
• Lead and direct site workers and subcontractors to execute on-site tasks according to project plans
• Demonstrate and enforce proper workmanship techniques and quality standards for tile laying, bricklaying, plastering, welding, and installation of aluminium panels and glass
• Identify and resolve on-site design and construction issues promptly to maintain workflow continuity
• Enforce compliance with specified quality standards across all work performed
• Implement and adhere to the work plan issued by the Project Manager to align site activities with project goals
• Prepare daily progress reports and update work schedules to track and communicate project status
• Oversee on-site quality control and ensure occupational health and safety compliance
• Participate actively in project coordination and progress meetings to align with stakeholders
• Perform other ad-hoc duties relevant to the Site Manager role as required

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrated practical proficiency in tile laying, bricklaying, plastering, welding, and aluminium panel & glass installation, with ability to teach correct methods and quality benchmarks to workers
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 8 years of relevant construction experience
