Accounts Assistant (East/5 Days/Up to $3,500) - #1174610

Job Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting duties, including processing invoices, receipts and payment transactions.
• Manage petty cash transactions and maintain proper records of cash movements.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with customers on overdue payments.
• Support credit control activities, including payment tracking and outstanding account monitoring.
• Assist in preparing basic financial reports, statements and accounting schedules.
• Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts and other financial documents.
• Liaise with internal departments, customers and vendors on billing and payment-related matters.
• Attend to finance-related enquiries and provide administrative support to the finance team.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

• Diploma or qualification in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in an accounting or finance support role is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable, invoicing, petty cash handling and bank reconciliation.
• Experience in credit control and payment follow-up will be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and familiar with accounting software.
• Experience in the industrial, engineering or machinery sector would be an added advantage.
• Meticulous, organised and comfortable working with numbers and financial records.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
