Aravali Asset Management is an award winning, Singaporebased hedge fund that was established in 2014. We run a market neutralarbitrage strategy which has generated attractive risk adjusted returns overvarious market cycles. We trade globally however our focus is on Asia. We tradeacross all major asset classes; equity, rates, vol, commodities, and FX.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire a Junior Trader to work as partof the investment team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the fund as atrainee and grow with the fund as your knowledge and experience grows.

Responsibilities

Responsiblefor quantitative research and help build and monitoring trading algorithmsacross asset classes. We will provide full on-the-job training for thehard-working, energetic person.

Quantitative research involves

- Applying numerical analyses to draw insights from real-time financial marketdata

- Identifying good quantitative trading strategies

- Researching various risk management models to trading algorithms

- General technical and fundamental capital markets research

Monitoring of the algorithm wouldinvolve

- Observing how the algorithm is taking positions and identifying any irregulartrading behaviors

- Building and monitoring the algorithms’ risk management systems and theirperformance

- Identifying any bugs in the algorithm and providing feedback to the algorithmdevelopers

- Preparing performance data & reports

Skills needed

· Studied either Maths, Statistics, Physics, Engineeringor Computer Science

· Strong ability to code in both C++ and Python.It is not enough to think AI will do it.

· Knowledge of macro-economics and econometricswill be beneficial

· An ability and willingness to learn quickly onthe job and work under demanding conditions

· A genuine interest and passion for financialmarkets

· Prior experience in financial markets is notrequired

· Excellent communication skills in English
