Claims Executive - #1173200

The role

Be part of the team that delivers fair, timely and professional claims service to our customers. You’ll manage a wide range of general insurance claims, ensure accurate claim assessments and settlements, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive customer outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Handle and manage claims across various classes of general insurance, including Motor, WICA, Contractors' All Risks, Engineering All Risks and Public Liability.
• Assess policy coverage, determine liability and calculate claim settlements in accordance with policy terms and company guidelines.
• Process claims accurately and within established service standards and turnaround times.
• Review and maintain appropriate claim reserves and records in line with company controls and regulatory requirements.
• Manage enquiries from policyholders, claimants, agents and brokers via email, phone and walk-in interactions.
• Work closely with underwriters by providing feedback on claims experience and emerging risk trends.
• Monitor claims histories, identify abnormalities, recurring issues or potential fraud indicators, and escalate where necessary.
• Review and improve claims processes to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Prepare claims statistics, reports and other management information as required.

What you bring

• A Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline, with General Insurance certifications such as BCP, PGI and ComGI preferred.
• At least 3 years of hands-on claims handling experience in personal and/or commercial lines insurance.
• Strong understanding of general insurance claims processes and policy coverage assessment.
• Good analytical skills with attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications. Experience with AS400 will be an advantage.
