Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Consultant – Enterprise Cloud & Technology Advisory to partner with enterprise executive teams (CIOs, CTOs, CDOs) in architecting their digital future.

In this role, you will lead high-impact consulting engagements at the intersection of business strategy and emerging technology—guiding clients through complex cloud migrations, enterprise data modernization, and AI-enabled operating models. You will be instrumental in translating board-level business goals into actionable technology roadmaps, backed by rigorous financial modeling and commercial justification.

This position is tailored for high-caliber strategy and technology consultants from top-tier professional services firms (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, IBM Consulting, EY, KPMG, PwC, or specialized digital advisory boutiques) who bring equal strength in client advisory, technical solution shaping, and commercial pursuit leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Client Advisory & Transformation Delivery

• Serve as an executive trusted advisor, leading consulting teams to formulate enterprise IT visions, target-state architectures, and cloud adoption strategies.

• Translate complex digital and technology initiatives into tangible business value, addressing organizational readiness, target operating models (TOM), and change roadmaps.

• Author executive-grade deliverables, including board-level strategy decks, technology modernization blueprints, vendor evaluation matrices, and implementation plans.

• Steer multi-disciplinary squads across cloud, data engineering, and AI/ML advisory workstreams.

2. Technology Vision & Cloud Ecosystem Advisory

• Evaluate current-state IT estates, application portfolios, and infrastructure footprints to identify modernization, rationalization, and consolidation opportunities.

• Define multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud adoption frameworks across major hyperscalers ( AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

• Guide client leadership on data estate modernization, platform selection (data lakes, modern data stacks), and practical adoption pathways for enterprise AI/ML solutions.

• Collaborate closely with enterprise architects and delivery partners to validate that strategic recommendations are technically feasible and secure.

3. Financial Modeling & Business Case Development

• Build comprehensive, audit-ready financial business cases for large-scale technology transformations.

• Conduct in-depth Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments, ROI calculations, cost-benefit analyses, and cloud economics/FinOps strategies.

• Establish value-realization frameworks and operational KPI tracking to substantiate ROI for C-suite decision-makers.

4. Business Development, Pre-Sales & Practice Growth

• Drive practice growth by identifying and qualifying new advisory opportunities within existing accounts and prospective enterprise clients.

• Lead competitive bid management: orchestrating RFP/RFI responses, solution scoping, delivery model structuring, pricing strategies, and oral pitch presentations.

• Facilitate executive design thinking and strategic discovery workshops for prospective clients.

• Develop repeatable consulting frameworks, white papers, and advisory accelerators to expand the practice’s market footprint.

• Mentor and develop senior and associate consultants within the team.

Candidate Qualifications & Background

• Experience: 8+ years in management or technology consulting, with an emphasis on IT strategy, enterprise cloud advisory, or digital transformation.

• Firm Pedigree: Prior track record within a top-tier management consultancy, global system integrator (GSI), or technology advisory practice.

• Technical Depth: Broad understanding of enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), modern data architectures, microservices, and AI adoption frameworks.

• Commercial Rigor: Proven mastery of business case creation, IT financial modeling, TCO analysis, and budget justification.

• Deal Shaping: Hands-on involvement in pre-sales pursuits, proposal authoring, and pitching to C-suite/VP-level stakeholders.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and visual storytelling capabilities, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical executives.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Credentials

• Hyperscaler Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Cloud Digital Leader / Architect).

• Framework knowledge in TOGAF, ITIL, Agile, or FinOps Foundation certifications.
