About the Role (Mission)

The specialist works across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Logistics, Finance and other cross-functional teams to understand current processes, eliminate non-value-added activities and establish common ways of working. Solutions should be designed around exception management and business decisions, enabling planners to spend less time on manual preparation and more time on analysis and action.

What will you do?

• Map, review and challenge regional planning processes, including Demand Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), Supply Planning, Inventory Planning and SIOP-related activities, to identify simplification, standardization and automation opportunities.

• Define common workflows, planning principles, business rules, templates and ways of working across countries and business units, while documenting and governing justified local exceptions.

• Identify and prioritize digitalization opportunities based on business value, planner workload, process pain points, data availability, scalability and implementation feasibility.

• Translate planner and business-user needs into clear business requirements, user stories and functional specifications for digital solutions, dashboards, automation and planning tools.

• Partner with Planning, Digital/IT, Data and other stakeholders to design, test, deploy and continuously improve digital planning solutions.

• Automate repetitive planning activities, particularly data collection, consolidation, validation, exception identification, reporting and routine planning-cycle preparation.

• Develop and maintain standard dashboards, analytical tools and exception-based management approaches that focus attention on areas requiring decisions or intervention.

• Support digitalization and simplification of forecast analysis, DRP, inventory management, replenishment parameter governance, supply-demand balancing, scenario simulation and SIOP preparation.

• Establish process and data governance, including ownership, standard definitions, master-data requirements, process documentation and controls required for reliable planning execution.

• Define and track measurable benefits, including reduced manual effort, shorter cycle time, improved process adherence, user adoption, data quality and planning productivity.

• Lead user acceptance testing, deployment and change management for new or enhanced planning solutions, ensuring business requirements are met before scale-up.

• Develop standard operating procedures, user guidance and training materials to support consistent execution and sustainable adoption.

• Engage regional and local planning communities to collect feedback, share best practices and replicate successful solutions across markets and teams.

• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to challenge existing ways of working and design simpler, standardized future-state processes.

• Maintain a planning digitalization and improvement roadmap that balances quick wins with longer-term transformation initiatives.

• Act as the bridge between planning business users and technical teams, ensuring solutions address real operational needs and remain usable, maintainable and scalable.

• Promote continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, automation and digital adoption across the regional planning organization.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, S&OP/SIOP, supply-chain transformation or planning process excellence.

• Strong project management, stakeholder management and cross-functional facilitation skills.

• Demonstrated involvement in process improvement, simplification, standardization, automation or digitalization initiatives.

• Practical experience with Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, AI/Copilot or advanced automation, or equivalent planning and digital tools.

• Experience translating business problems into requirements for analytical or digital solutions.

• Experience working across countries, functions and organizational levels.

• Strong process-mapping, root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving capability.

• Strong analytical and data-management mindset, with the ability to distinguish value-adding analysis from avoidable process complexity.

• Good understanding of ERP and planning systems, data visualization, workflow automation and analytics.

• Ability to communicate effectively between operational planning users and technical teams.

• Strong change-management mindset, with the ability to drive adoption and sustain new ways of working.
