As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Principal Developer – Endur CTRM/ETRM Systems to lead the technical design, development, integration, and enhancement of enterprise commodity trading and risk management applications.

Role Summary

The Principal Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex technical solutions within Openlink Endur, ensuring system performance, scalability, reliability, and integration with enterprise applications.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, establish development standards, resolve complex technical challenges, and collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and stakeholders across Front, Middle, and Back Office operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, development, customisation, and implementation of Openlink Endur CTRM/ETRM solutions.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom components, scripts, interfaces, and reports using AVS, JVS, Open Components (Java/.NET), and SQL.

• Develop scalable technical solutions to support physical and financial commodity trading, risk management, scheduling, settlement, and accounting processes.

• Design and implement system integrations between Endur and external applications, including SAP, Oracle ERP, market data providers, and enterprise reporting systems.

• Perform technical analysis, troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and optimisation of Endur applications and database processes.

• Lead code reviews, enforce software development standards, and ensure application quality, security, and maintainability.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and other technical team members.

• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including solution architecture, technical specifications, development, unit testing, system integration testing, deployment, and production support.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, deployment procedures, and system configuration records.

• Support system upgrades, data migration, application enhancements, and production issue resolution.

• Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Evaluate technical risks, recommend improvements, and contribute to continuous enhancement of development methodologies and system architecture.

  Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software development, including substantial hands-on experience with CTRM/ETRM systems.

  • Strong hands-on development experience with Openlink Endur is essential.

  • Proven experience developing Endur customisations using AVS, JVS, Open Components (Java/.NET), and SQL.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, database design, and enterprise application integration.

  • Experience developing and supporting interfaces, workflows, reporting solutions, and custom business logic within Endur.

  • Sound understanding of physical and financial commodity trading processes across Oil, LNG, Gas, Power, Agricultural Commodities, or Coal.

  • Experience with SQL database development, query optimisation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

  • Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues in enterprise production environments.

  • Experience with source control, software testing, release management, and deployment procedures.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently, lead technical development activities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

• Exposure to client environments in Asia, Europe, Middle East, or Africa.
• Experience in vendor evaluation, business process mapping, or strategic system assessment.
• Familiarity with project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and regulatory requirements.
