Piping Design Engineer - #1172209

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Piping Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed piping layouts, supporting material selection and engineering calculations, and coordinating across project teams to deliver compliant piping solutions for wastewater treatment and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Piping Layout & Design: Prepare 2D/3D piping layout drawings, isometric drawings, and detailed engineering designs for wastewater and industrial systems.

• Specifications Review: Review design specifications, client requirements, and project scope to ensure accurate execution.

• Material Selection & Calculations: Support material selection, pipe sizing, pressure/stress analysis support, and hydraulic calculations.

• Technical Problem-Solving: Assist in continuous design improvements, root cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting during layout development.

• Project & Site Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and site personnel during installation and execution.

• Documentation & Compliance: Prepare technical specifications, material take-offs (MTO), and engineering reports, ensuring all drawings comply with project specifications and international piping standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on piping design experience, specifically with industrial piping systems or water/wastewater treatment facilities.

Technical & Soft Skills

• Software: Proficient in AutoCAD or relevant 2D/3D piping design software (e.g., Plant 3D, PDMS, or CADWorks).

• Standards Knowledge: Solid understanding of industrial piping systems, codes, and engineering design standards.

• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and cross-functional coordination skills.

• Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving deliverables.

• Languages: Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to coordinate with internal teams and regional clients/suppliers.
