Position: Safety Officer

Location: GreenfieldConstruction Site at Tuas Area, Singapore

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and enforce workplace safety practices across all site activities, with a strong focus on electrical installation works.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures in line with WSH Act, MOM regulations, and company policies.
• Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety into work planning and execution.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, permits, and audit records.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related discipline.
• WSH Officer registration with MOM (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction safety, preferably with exposure to electrical installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical hazards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and safe work practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage a diverse workforce.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced site environment.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in greenfield projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and risk management frameworks.
• Multilingual ability (English + Mandarin/Tamil/Bengali) for effective communication with foreign workers.
