Business Manager – Family Offices

Job Summary

We are seeking a service-oriented Business Manager to develop and serve a select group of family office clients. The role requires sound judgment, commercial insight, and the ability to earn the confidence of family principals and their advisers.

Responsibilities

Relationships and Business Development

• Develop relationships with prospective family office clients, including families establishing or expanding their presence in Singapore
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with law firms, trust companies, private banks, and other professional advisers
• Collaborate with directors to understand prospective clients’ needs and prepare proposals for non-investment family office services
• Serve as the principal contact for family office services within your remit, ensuring attentive and consistent service

Family Office Services

• Coordinate introductions to external specialists for family governance, succession, estate planning, philanthropy, and next-generation matters
• Manage coordination with external advisers and service providers on selected non-investment matters relevant to the family’s needs
• Exercise sound judgment in selecting and managing service partners to meet client expectations

Business Management

• Oversee relevant operations, maintain accurate records, and manage budgets effectively
• Coordinate with advisers and service providers to ensure client matters, reporting, and administrative deadlines are met
• Refer requests related to investments or regulated financial services to authorized colleagues or advisers, without providing investment advice or arranging transactions

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business management and client relationship management
• Proven track record of client development and building long-term partnerships
• Experience serving high net worth or premium clientele in wealth management, private banking, luxury, hospitality, travel, or corporate services
• Prior exposure to family offices or financial services is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin; additional languages are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset
• Well organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Demonstrated absolute integrity and discretion in handling confidential family matters
• Judgment to understand family priorities, coordinate effectively with specialist advisers, and recognize when matters fall outside the role’s remit
