Job summary

The Senior Interior Designer will work closely with the Project Director and design/FF&E team and be responsible for all design phases from concept development to visualisation, documentation and site implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all design phases from concept to site supervision
• Work closely with the Project lead, design and FF&E team
• Coordinate with operator, relevant consultants and contractors during all project stages
• Coordinate with drafting teams to produce fully coordinated tender documentation packages
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet given deadlines
• Attend site meetings and factory inspections to check compliance to design and assist in providing solutions to site issues
• Mentor junior team members

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma/Equivalent Professional Certificates in Architecture or Interior Design or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years experience designing interiors of hotels in South East Asia and China
• Experience in handling hospitality and residential projects in all design phases from concept to site implementation
• Experience in designing for various hotel brands and understanding the specific needs required by operators
• Strong in space planning and able to assist in concept development
• Coordinate with the 3d visualization team to create realistic renderings reflecting the design intent
• Strong in design detailing and freehand sketching
• Good understanding of site work and implementation
• Strong communication skills
• Thorough understanding of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Indesign
• Knowledge of Sketchup will be a plus
• Proficient in CAD standards and organization of drawing packages
• Strong organisational skills
• Able to understand drawings and design
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable to work independently
