Job Summary

Join a dynamic sales team to drive business growth, expand customer accounts, and develop new opportunities within the food science industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing customer accounts to achieve annual sales and product mix targets.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to expand market presence and increase sales revenue.
• Collaborate with the Department Manager to develop sales strategies based on customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends.
• Conduct regular customer visits to build strong relationships, understand business requirements, and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor market developments and competitor product launches, providing timely updates and recommendations.
• Prepare product costing, pricing proposals, and customer quotations.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, reports, and activity plans, including updates on sales performance and business opportunities.
• Attend project site meetings when required to ensure smooth project execution and handover.
• Follow up on sales orders and monitor outstanding payments to ensure collections are made within approved credit terms.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of sales experience in a related industry.
• At least 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record of achieving business targets.
• At least 1 year of experience in Food Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in computer applications; experience with CRM systems is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and customer service orientation.
• Strong initiative, drive, and commitment to achieving sales objectives.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
