Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Managerin the daily execution of work
• Liaise with Professional Engineer on theTemporary works
• Liaise with consultants (QPS) for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality & safetyplan, control and coordinate site works with the operations team as well as contractors Establish and implement controls to ensure that works are carried out safely according to the works programme and produce short term works plans
• Check construction drawings and highlight discrepancies
• Ensure that all corrective action or preventive action is implemented effectively, and quality records are properly maintained
• Monitor and control progress to make sure that turnover and cost is in line with master construction program
• Ensure material submission &approval, ordering and delivery are according to agreed schedules

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience in construction projects
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Able to work in the East
