Responsibilities

• Drive business development activities by identifying, engaging, and acquiring clients across the Japan B2B market, including healthcare, medical devices, IoT, sensors, and tracking solutions.
• Lead solution proposals, commercial negotiations, and contract discussions for OEM, JDM, EMS, and turnkey service engagements.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with distributors, technology partners, and key industry stakeholders in Japan.
• Formulate market entry strategies and Go-To-Market (GTM) plans based on market trends, customer demand, regulatory requirements, and competitive analysis.
• Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support product development, innovation, and business growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify new applications and business opportunities within healthcare and IoT sectors.
• Establish and optimize business processes, customer support frameworks, and operational structures to support market growth in Japan.
• Support recruitment, team development, and organizational scaling initiatives as business operations expand.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics, wireless communication technologies (e.g. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular), sensor technologies, or EMS, JDM, and OEM manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, and client acquisition within the electronics, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in developing strategic partnerships, alliances, and commercial collaborations in Japan.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to identify customer needs and translate technical capabilities into value-driven solutions.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with the ability to drive business growth in fast-paced and evolving environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in healthcare devices, medical IoT, wearable technologies, or tracking solutions is an added advantage.
• Experience launching new business initiatives or building operations from the ground up is an added advantage.
• Experience working with multinational organizations or collaborating extensively with overseas headquarters is an added advantage
