Job Summary

Support the Safety Manager in enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards on construction projects to ensure compliance with statutory and aerodrome safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure project compliance with statutory obligations and aerodrome safety standards
• Implement health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions
• Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants to support safety management activities
• Prepare and submit daily situation reports to track safety performance and incidents
• Conduct daily inspections of health, safety, and environmental conditions on-site, document findings, and coordinate with Project Safety Team and contractors to resolve issues
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and strictly follow all safety procedures
• Implement and monitor safety measures in compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Safety Management System
• Identify and highlight training or certification needs to meet legislative standards, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM (Ministry of Manpower)
• Experience developing Risk Management Implementation Plans (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry & LTA, preferably 2 years with a developer or main contractor
