Manager, MICE Event Sales - #1169823

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

• Identify, prospect and acquire new clients across targeted industries
• Develop and execute proactive sales strategies to generate leads and expand the pipeline
• Conduct market research to uncover emerging trends and business opportunities
• Build a robust pipeline of corporate, agency and direct client opportunities
• Drive outreach through networking, referrals, cold calling and industry events
• Achieve individual sales targets while contributing to overall venue revenue goals
• Maximise venue utilisation across different event formats and spaces

Strategic Account Management

• Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients, event agencies and strategic partners
• Manage and grow existing accounts to drive repeat business
• Build referral networks across corporate, agency and industry partners
• Develop multi-event collaborations beyond one-off bookings
• Identify opportunities for annual partnerships and preferred vendor arrangements
• Maintain regular client engagement through meetings and relationship-building initiatives
• Manage inbound sales enquiries and develop account growth strategies

Partnership Development

• Establish strategic partnerships that drive event opportunities and boost venue visibility
• Build relationships with event organisers, marketing agencies, luxury brands and industry associations
• Develop co-marketing initiatives, sponsorships and partnership activations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise cross-business partnership opportunities

Sales & Pre-Sales Execution

• Qualify leads and understand client objectives, budgets and requirements
• Conduct discovery meetings, presentations and client consultations
• Organise venue tours and site inspections
• Develop customised event proposals, quotations and commercial contracts
• Negotiate pricing, terms and event requirements
• Manage the full proposal-to-signing process, following up proactively to improve conversion
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record in sales and business development, ideally within MICE, hospitality or events
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and presentation skills
• Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities
• Strategic thinker with a self-motivated, results-oriented approach
• Confident communicator and stakeholder manager
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
