This role is based in Singapore. The Hotel Enterprise Partnerships (HEP) team owns and grows strategic relationships with major hotel chains, driving revenue performance and shaping the future of hotel distribution through innovative commercial deals, deep partnership strategy, and close collaboration across Expedia Group.
As a Senior Key Account Manager on this team, based in our Singapore office, you will own a high-value portfolio of hotel chain partners across Asia Pacific, driving competitiveness, growth, and strategic initiatives that go beyond distribution.This is a highly visible role in which you shape partner strategy, negotiate complex deals, and influence key decisions across Expedia Group and some of the world’s leading hotel brands.
In this role, you will:
- Own a portfolio of global and key hotel chain partners in Asia Pacific, driving revenue growth, rate and inventory competitiveness, and achievement of commercial targets.
- Build strong, senior-level relationships with partners and internal stakeholders, leading regular business reviews and strategic discussions to uncover new opportunities.
- Negotiate and structure creative, sophisticated commercial deals and annual contract renewals, including designing deal models that align partner and Expedia Group objectives.
- Promote and optimize merchandising, advertising, and broader Expedia Group partnership opportunities to help partners grow share and improve performance on our marketplace.
- Lead or actively contribute to cross-functional strategic projects and pillar initiatives, collaborating across Market Management, Connectivity, Advertising, and other teams.
- Mentor and support colleagues by sharing expertise, guiding best practices, and helping improve team effectiveness.
Experience and qualifications
Required
- At least 8 years of experience in negotiation and/or account management, working autonomously with large, complex lodging and/or hotel partners.
- Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills, with a consultative, collaborative approach and a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or growth targets.
- Experience building relationships with and presenting to senior stakeholders, including leading business reviews or equivalent partner forums.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear, actionable strategies for partners.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity, prioritise across multiple complex discussions and projects, and communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.
- Professional proficiency in English, given the role’s partner-facing and written communication requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- University degree, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Preferred
- Experience managing high-value partners across Asia Pacific markets, shaping partner strategy, driving revenue performance, and managing rate and inventory competitiveness.
- Hospitality or travel industry knowledge, including experience influencing senior stakeholders and decision makers within hotel chains.
- Experience in hotel chain partnerships, Market Management, Connectivity, Advertising, or consulting.
