About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) to join us in the North Region. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity for entry-level engineers to develop practical skills in the field. You will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting services to our clients. This role offers a fantastic foundation for your engineering career, combining hands-on experience with professional development in a dynamic environment. The position operates on a 5-day working week, providing a healthy work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance

• Respond promptly to client service requests and emergency call-outs

• Document work completed, including maintenance logs, service reports and technical findings

• Provide technical advice and guidance to clients on equipment operation and maintenance

• Collaborate with team members and senior engineers to resolve complex technical issues

• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any deficiencies

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

• Entry-level experience or freshly graduated engineers are welcome to apply

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and systems

• Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals

• Physical capability to perform fieldwork, including lifting, bending and working in various environments

• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems

• Reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic
