Key Highlights of the Role

• Highly hands-on and operational finance position.

• Heavy involvement in transactional accounting rather than purely strategic finance.

• Significant focus on reviewing and approving payroll, employee claims, payments, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

• Requires someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and managing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle and review day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, inventory, and general ledger activities.

• Review and approve payroll, ensuring payroll reports, claims, accruals, supporting documents, and accounting entries are accurate and properly approved before processing.

• Review and process employee claims, payments, bank transactions, and finance documentation in accordance with company policies and internal controls.

• Ensure compliance with Singapore statutory requirements, including GST, corporate tax, audits, and financial reporting.

• Support SOX compliance, internal controls, and external/internal audits, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are maintained.

• Oversee cash management, banking activities, payment approvals, and bank reconciliations.

• Work closely with HR, Operations, Sales, Logistics, and other stakeholders to support day-to-day finance operations and resolve accounting-related matters.

• Drive continuous improvements to finance processes while remaining actively involved in operational and transactional finance activities.

• Guide and review the work of the Senior Accountant while remaining actively involved in the daily execution of finance operations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline

• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred

• Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience

• Good communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
