Working Hours

• 5.5-day work week (Alternate Saturdays)

• Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Work Location

• Office based at Pioneer

• Required to travel to project sites on Jurong Island

• Company transport provided from:

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer to oversee workplace safety and regulatory compliance for a project on Jurong Island.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) policies, procedures and safety programmes.

• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Review and monitor risk control measures while maintaining accurate risk assessment documentation.

• Organise safety training, toolbox meetings and awareness programmes to promote a strong safety culture.

• Ensure employees and contractors are trained in emergency response procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Ensure full compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and other relevant statutory requirements.

• Prepare safety reports, statutory submissions and liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.

• Develop emergency response plans, coordinate emergency drills and ensure emergency equipment is properly maintained.

• Maintain safety records, monitor safety performance and provide recommendations to management for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering or a related discipline.

• Certified Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer recognised by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant WSH experience, preferably within the construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety & Health regulations and safety management systems.

• Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Proactive, responsible and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.

• Comfortable travelling to Jurong Island. Company transport is provided from designated pick-up points.
