About the Role

ES Recruitment Pte Ltd is hiring an experienced Lead UX Designer to support one of our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Lead UX Designer with 7+ years of UI/UX design experience within product teams, including at least 2 years in a leadership role to join their product team in creating user-centred digital solutions that serve Singapore's citizens and businesses

In this role, you will work on designing intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital products that improve the lives of Singaporeans whilst adhering to government design standards and accessibility requirements. You will be part of cross-functional product teams working in an agile environment to deliver citizen-centric solutions

1 year contract under agency payroll

Location: Yio Chu Kang and Client site

Salary: up to $10800

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the design team, providing guidance and reviewing work to ensure high-quality design outcomes.

• Establish the design system and enforce design standards to deliver a consistent and scalable user experience.

• Design and prototype user interfaces for digital products serving citizens and government agencies across the product lifecycle

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform product decisions and validate product-market fit

• Collaborate with product managers, product owners, developers, and government agencies to translate product requirements into simple, elegant user experiences

• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using industry standard design tools to support product development sprints

• Ensure designs comply with government accessibility standards and design system guidelines whilst meeting product OKRs

• Participate in product reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to iterate based on user feedback and product metrics

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries that scale across multiple products

• Support product discovery activities and help define product roadmaps through design thinking methodologies

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design within product teams, with at least 2 years in a lead role. Preferably with experience in government or public sector products.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools used in product development

• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, product design processes, accessibility standards, and responsive design

• Experience with user research methodologies, A/B testing, and product analytics to inform design decisions

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and understanding of technical constraints in product development

• Experience working in agile/scrum environments with product managers and development teams

• Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to product stakeholders and leadership

• Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms

• Familiarity with government digital products and public sector product challenges

• Understanding of data visualisation, product analytics, and information architecture principles

• Experience with design systems and component libraries in product environments

• Knowledge of product discovery techniques

• Locals (Must be willing to wait for project clearance & pre-employment check to complete before reporting work)

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
