JOB SUMMARY
The jobholder supports the Senior Manager / Manager (Career Transition) and the Career Development team in the planning, coordination, and execution of employment and employability initiatives, with a focus on career transition and progression across different life stages. This includes supporting fresh graduates, early jobbers, and mid-career professionals within the Malay/Muslim community to access opportunities in growth and evergreen sectors.
The jobholder assists in delivering programmes and activities that equip jobseekers with relevant skills, networks, and career pathways, and provides operational and administrative support to sustain partnerships with industry stakeholders for the benefit of the community.
The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisational events. Although the role is largely office-based, occasional travel for meetings and programme visits is expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership and Stakeholder Support
Assist the Senior Manager / Manager (Career Transition) in implementing MENDAKI’s Employment and Employability strategies across Professionals, Youths, and Langkah Digital pathways.
Support partnerships with National Agencies, employers, industry stakeholders, training providers, and Professional Networks (PNs) to strengthen career transition and progression opportunities.
Support partnership development, employer outreach, partnership materials, memorandum or agreement follow-ups, procurement coordination, and finance documentation where assigned.
Support career fairs, industry engagement sessions, networking platforms, and cross-team employability initiatives.
Work with internal teams to support outreach, stakeholder coordination, and programme delivery across Career Transition pathways.
Support outcome follow-up with partners to contribute to the 50% placement/progression target across Career Transition pathways.
Programme Coordination and Delivery
Support the day-to-day execution of assigned Career Transition pathway operations, participant management, and programme administration across Youths initiatives.
Coordinate assigned six-session pathway activities, including workshops, mentoring or networking sessions, employer engagement, participant communications, and post-intervention follow-up.
Conduct intake assessment interviews for assigned participants at pre- and post-programme intervention stages, including documentation, data entry, and follow-up actions.
Coordinate participant outreach, case notes, action plans, referral follow-ups, outcome tracking, and programme documentation.
Support delivery logistics for Youth pathways, including scheduling, facilitator/vendor liaison, attendance tracking, learning materials, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
Support Career Transition officers on pathway interventions, intake assessments, programme runs, participant follow-up, and event operations where required.
Provide basic career support and signposting to relevant training, employment, or industry exposure opportunities.
Track assigned participant engagement, placement/progression status, outcomes, and learning points.
Operational and Administrative Support
Maintain assigned programme trackers, participant follow-up records, outcome documentation, and reporting inputs.
Provide logistical and administrative support for career fairs, industry engagements, networking platforms, and cross-team events.
Support procurement coordination, finance documentation, meeting logistics, and partner follow-up records where assigned.
Compile programme data and operational updates for internal reporting and continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with Career Transition colleagues to ensure integrated support across pathway interventions and programme runs.
Requirements
Relevant degree or diploma from a recognised institution preferred.
2–4 years of relevant experience in career development, employment facilitation, workforce engagement, or programme and events coordination.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and participants effectively.
Meticulous, organised, and detail oriented, with good administrative and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with data and reports.
Able to work independently and within a team.
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
