We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for project costing, tender preparation, quotation, variation orders, procurement support, and cost control for construction and interior fit-out projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction costing, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage project budgets while working closely with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions for construction and renovation projects.
Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQ, and contract documents.
Conduct quantity take-offs based on construction drawings.
Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness.
Prepare project budgets and monitor project costs throughout execution.
Manage variation orders (VO), progress claims, final accounts, and cost reconciliation.
Prepare cost comparisons and recommend cost-saving alternatives.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams on commercial matters.
Assist Project Managers with budgeting, procurement, and project costing.
Maintain costing database and material price records.
Prepare purchase orders when required.
Support management in pricing strategy and project profitability analysis.
Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QS experience in construction, renovation, interior fit-out, or building projects.
Good knowledge of construction materials, costing, and tender procedures.
Able to read and interpret architectural, structural, and M&E drawings.
Experience in quantity take-off, budgeting, VO, claims, and final accounts.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Able to work independently and meet tender deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience in commercial renovation, office fit-out, retail, or F&B projects.
Familiar with Singapore construction practices and market pricing.
Experience with procurement and subcontractor management.
Good understanding of project contracts and commercial documentation.
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
