Dental Assistant - #1167934

Established dental clinic of more than 40 years seeks experienced dental assistant (full-time).

Strictly chairside, no receptionist-related work because we have receptionists.

Closed on public holidays. No night clinics. 5.5 days of 11 sessions per week (Monday to Friday, and one additional Saturday morning a week).

If you are a dental assistant with experience, and wish to apply for the position with an expected salary commensurate with your experience, the requirements to do so are:

~ at least 5 years DA experience and currently active in dental assisting

~ Willing to adapt to a new environment and change any previous assisting habits not suitable for our clinic

~ Knows general dental charting and periodontal charting

~ Knows how to assist independently for root canal treatment of anterior teeth and premolars

~ Knows how to assist independently for crowns and bridges

~ Can do denture-related procedures (or willing to learn), such as manual mixing and manual casting of alginate impression molds for dentures

~ Can identify different forceps, as part of necessary knowledge for extractions.

~ Knows how to assist independently for routine procedures such as scaling and polishing, fillings, etc

~ Has experience assisting with implants or willing to learn to assist for implant procedures.
