AI Software Engineer (Semiconductor Industry) - #1167630

About the Role

Our client is seeking for an AI Software Engineer to drive AI adoption within their software development team.
You will identify opportunities to automate coding tasks, improve developer productivity using AI-powered tools and modernise software development workflow while supporting existing enterprise applications built on Microsoft technologies.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining software engineering with AI automation to deliver practical business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement AI-powered software development tools to improve coding efficiency and code quality.

• Integrate AI-assisted coding solutions into existing development workflows.

• Develop, maintain and enhance enterprise applications built using Microsoft technologies.

• Support and modernise legacy applications, including VB6 and ASP.NET systems.

• Design, develop, test and deploy software enhancements.

• Analyse business requirements and recommend AI-driven automation solutions.

• Develop internal tools to automate repetitive development tasks.

• Create technical documentation and implementation guides.

• Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders on system enhancements.

• Research emerging AI technologies and recommend suitable solutions.

• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience.

• Proficient in ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience supporting legacy applications (VB.NET/VB6 is an advantage).

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude Code, ChatGPT).

• Familiar with REST APIs, software architecture, and system design.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Able to start work immediately or on short notice is preferred.

Employment Details

• Employment Type: 2-year renewable contract

• Salary: Up to S$7,000 per month

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm
