Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Staff Engineer to maintain, optimize, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment for high equipment reliability, stable production, and quality output. The role involves equipment qualification, troubleshooting, process optimization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in a high-volume cleanroom manufacturing environment.
Job Scope:
Own equipment performance, process stability, and manufacturability in a high-volume production environment.
Lead technical troubleshooting for process excursions, equipment drift, instability, contamination, and yield detractors.
Support process tuning, parameter optimization, and equipment qualification activities.
Drive root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions to improve equipment availability, process capability, product quality, and yield.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful technology transfer, equipment readiness, and process ramp-up.
Monitor and improve key equipment and process metrics using SPC, DOE, FMEA, FDC, and statistical data analysis.
Work with equipment and maintenance teams to strengthen preventive maintenance, calibration, and performance standards.
Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, best-known methods, qualification reports, and process guidelines.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the organization.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
10–15 years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering or manufacturing.
Strong expertise in semiconductor equipment, process support, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Experience in equipment qualification, process tuning, yield improvement, and defect reduction.
Knowledge of DOE, SPC, FMEA, FDC, root cause analysis, and data analysis.
Experience in technology transfer and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Familiar with semiconductor quality systems, fab safety, and equipment maintenance practices.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment is required.
Experience in Etch, Implant, Lithography, CVD, PVD, or Diffusion modules is preferred.
Experience with KLA, LAM, AMAT, Axcelis, TEL/DNS, Canon, EVG/SUSS, Novellus, ULVAC, ASM, Kokusai, AMEC, Trymax, or EKRA equipment is an added advantage.
