Job Responsibilities:
Source and evaluate local and overseas suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery performance and reliability.
Request, compare and analyse supplier quotations.
Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders and monitor order fulfilment.
Negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers.
Coordinate purchasing requirements with Production, Engineering, Quality and other internal departments.
Monitor stock levels and plan material replenishment according to MRP requirements.
Balance material availability to minimise shortages, excess inventory and operational disruptions.
Maintain accurate procurement and supply-chain data within the ERP system, including pricing, lead times and inventory information.
Monitor material costs, delivery schedules and supplier performance.
Work with suppliers, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve material or quality issues.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to support on-time delivery.
Liaise with freight forwarders on import and export arrangements.
Prepare and verify relevant shipping and logistics documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve transportation, inventory and supply-chain cost efficiency.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply-chain operations.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
At least three years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably within electronics or manufacturing.
Strong experience in supplier sourcing, purchasing and price negotiation.
Familiarity with MRP and ERP systems.
Understanding of inventory planning and material replenishment.
Familiarity with import/export procedures and Incoterms.
CIPS certification or an equivalent procurement qualification would be advantageous.
Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining purchasing and system-data accuracy.
