Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer to support the enhancement and operational stability of our EV Charging platform. This role is suited for experienced engineers who can independently contribute to backend services, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate effectively within a distributed system environment. You will work closely with technical leads, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable and reliable backend solutions in a cloud-native architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
Implement scalable and reliable microservices using Golang
Contribute to system performance, reliability, and scalability improvements
Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions
Work with PostgreSQL databases, query optimization and indexing
Develop and maintain event-driven and asynchronous workflows
Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployments and monitoring
Ensure code quality, maintainability, and operational readiness
Work independently on assigned features and technical tasks
Technical Requirements (Must Have)
Strong experience in Golang building production systems
Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices
Good understanding of concurrency and asynchronous processing
Strong SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS
Experience with event streaming systems (e.g., Kafka)
Hands-on experience debugging production issues
Familiarity with cloud-native deployments (eg. Azure or AWS)
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience working on distributed or high-traffic systems
Good to Have
Beginner to Intermediate knowledge in Java is a plus
Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, Sentry or similar)
Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or similar)
Prior experience in EV charging, mobility, or IoT platforms is an advantage
Familiarity with EV charging protocols such as OCPI & OCPP
Experience working with real-time or device-integrated systems
