About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the Springleaf North Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, from planning and resource allocation through to completion and handover. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as effective project management directly impacts our reputation, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Plan, organise, and coordinate all project activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Manage project teams, including site staff, contractors, and sub-contractors, ensuring clear communication and accountability
Monitor project progress against agreed milestones and KPIs, identifying and mitigating risks
Manage project finances, including cost control, variation orders, and payment administration
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction
Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards on site
Document and report on project status, performance metrics, and lessons learned
Resolve project issues and conflicts in a professional and timely manner
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, contractual obligations, and company policies
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction project management, preferably on medium to large-scale projects
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal
Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements in construction
Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Professional certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent is highly desirable
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is advantageous
