About the role

Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis in the Springleaf North Region. This is a pivotal role within our Civil and Structural Engineering division, responsible for coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across our projects. As MEP Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless integration of MEP systems with structural elements, maintaining project schedules, and delivering high-quality outcomes that meet both client expectations and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the design and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple project sites

• Liaise between structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment

• Review and verify MEP drawings and specifications for compliance with project requirements and building codes

• Monitor MEP installations to ensure work meets design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines

• Identify and resolve conflicts or clashes between MEP systems and structural elements, coordinating solutions with relevant parties

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive MEP coordination reports and documentation

• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with on-site teams to address MEP-related issues and ensure adherence to schedules

• Liaise with clients and project managers to provide regular updates on MEP coordination progress

• Support the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and quality plans related to MEP works

• Assist in budget monitoring and cost control for MEP components and services

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, or a related engineering discipline

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in MEP coordination, preferably on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects

• Proficiency in MEP design software and Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools such as Revit MEP or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, power distribution, and water supply/drainage systems

• Familiarity with Singapore building codes, standards, and regulations (Building and Construction Authority guidelines)

• Excellent coordination and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

• Strong organisational and project management capabilities with meticulous attention to detail

• Ability to identify and resolve technical clashes and conflicts between MEP systems

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications

• Professional certification such as PEng, IEng, or relevant MEP credentials is desirable
