Network Engineer L1 - #1166802

The Network Engineer L1 provides 24/7 support for network infrastructure and UPS systems, ensuring stable and secure operations through monitoring, incident management, and maintenance activities. The role supports network configurations, approved changes, and manages various network and security devices while ensuring service levels and compliance requirements are met.

As a Network Engineer L1, you will be responsible for the following:-

• 24/7 network operations and monitoring of network infrastructure and UPS systems

• Incident handling and escalation

• Incident tracking and reporting

• Preventive maintenance support

• Corrective maintenance support

• Monthly preventive maintenance reporting

• Network configuration support

• Change support based on approved requirements

• Monthly SLA reporting, performance reporting, incident reporting

Manage infrastructure includes:

• Routers, switches and firewalls

• IPS / IDS / NAC systems

• Load balancers

• Wireless infrastructure

• Media converters

• Any other network devices

• UPS systems

Key Deliverables

• Fully managed 24/7 Network & UPS support

• Preventive maintenance and monthly reporting

Requirements

• Minimum Higher Nitec or Nitec with Module in IT and has fundamental knowledge in Network.

• Capable to understanding and implement procedures and instructions given in operations manual.

• A strong team player with the ability to collaborate and willingness to support others.

• Have strong communications skills and ability to resolve issues or inquiries effectively.

• Able to work rotational shifts: 1st Shift (22:00 - 10:00 hours) & 2nd Shift (10:00 - 22:00 hours).

• Successful applicants for this position should be ready to work primarily at Tuas Checkpoint. However, they may also be assigned to work at Woodlands checkpoint in the future on a rotational basis.
