Primary responsibilities;
The Senior Finance Analyst / Finance Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and performance reporting to support business decision-making. The role serves as a strong finance business partner to management by providing insights on financial performance, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and contributing to strategic initiatives including investment evaluation and selected corporate development activities.
Specific responsibilities:
1.Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Analyse financial and operational data to provide actionable insights to management
Prepare variance analysis, identify key business drivers, and provide actionable financial insights
Develop and maintain financial models to support planning, forecasting, and business decisions
Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes
2. Business Partnering
Partner with business units to review performance, understand operational drivers, and support strategic initiatives
Provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support management in evaluating business options
Support pricing, investment, and cost optimisation decisions
3. Performance Management
Design and track KPIs aligned with strategic objectives
Analyse profitability by product, segment, and geography
4. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / Corporate Development
Support evaluation of investment and corporate development opportunities, including financial analysis and business case assessment
Assist with financial due diligence and coordination with internal and external stakeholders when required
Contribute to investment proposals, scenario analysis, and financial evaluation of business opportunities
Support post-acquisition integration activities by assisting with financial planning, synergy tracking, performance monitoring, and reporting for acquired targets
5. Cost Control & Efficiency
Monitor cost performance and identify efficiency opportunities
Drive cost discipline across business units
6. Process & Systems Improvement
Improve financial reporting processes and tools
Drive automation and data analytics initiatives
Work with ERP systems ( Oracle)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
Professional qualification preferred (e.g., ACCA, CPA Australia, CA, or equivalent)
Relevant experience in FP&A, management reporting, controlling, or commercial finance; experience level may vary depending on whether the role is positioned as Finance Analyst or Senior Finance Analyst
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Oracle and data visualisation/reporting tools is an advantage
Exposure to acquisition support, integration planning, or post-acquisition performance tracking would be an advantage
Able to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Able to interact confidently with all levels of management and build effective working relationships across functions
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Commercially minded, proactive, and willing to challenge assumptions to improve performance
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate across internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes
