Shipping Supervisor (Semiconductor | $4800) - #1166208

Responsibilities

1. Oversee shipping department operations. Prioritize and schedule workloads to ensure both external and internal customer requirements are fulfilled. Enforce company policies and procedures. Keep the workspace and equipment in a safe operating state.

2. Ensure that necessary systems, procedures, documentation, and performance metrics for shipping operations are implemented and continually enhanced. Maintain precise records, encompassing daily and monthly reports.

3. Ensure ongoing activities align with documented procedures, and that any inconsistencies are detected and properly resolved.

4. Uphold clear, professional communication and engage in problem-solving initiatives with plant customers and freight forwarders. Ensure the department comprehends and attains targeted standards for customer service, response times, follow-up, credibility, and availability.

5. Guide the training and professional development of team members. Assess subordinate performance and create actionable improvement plans. Establish departmental goals and objectives that align with corporate strategies, fostering teamwork and individual career growth.

6. Deliver continuous coaching, guidance, and oversight to all shipping department personnel.

7. Ensure all shipments meet quality standards and are dispatched on schedule.

8. Remain accessible on-call for after-hours support as required, and be adaptable to working flexible schedules.

9. Coordinate delivery methods for finished products and collaborate with the sales team to manage customer impact.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of working experience in shipping functions

• Experience in supervising a team

• Able to comprehend and operate electronic and physical material tracking systems and equipment when required.

• SAP system will be an added advantage
