About the role
As a Student Care Teacher, you will work closely with the Centre Manager to deliver care and educational support to Primary School children. You will oversee and supervise children, provide guidance on homework and spelling completion, ensure classroom discipline and safety, and support their social emotional development. You will maintain relationships with children and parents, plan and implement programmes according to the Centre's guidelines, and assist with administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and supervise Primary School children
Provide guidance and supervision for Primary School children on the completion of daily homework and spelling/ting xie
Ensure classroom discipline and effective classroom management
Ensure safety of children at all times
Fetch children at designated areas
Timely reporting of students' attendance
Plan and implement programmes for the class according with Centre's guidelines
Inculcate and impart good habits and social skills amongst the children
Guide and support children with the use of positive discipline strategies
Support students' social emotional development
About you
Competent to assist with primary school subjects
At least 1–2 years of relevant working experience with children, preferably with experience in teaching, student care, or early childhood education
Responsible, proactive, and able to plan, organize, and conduct engaging activities for children
Passion to work with children
Team-player
Willing to learn
Dedicated, organized, and takes initiative
Possess good communication skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Bilingual - able to communicate English and Mandarin
