Key Accountabilities
Assist in managing and overseeing finance and accounting operations, providing guidance to the finance team on daily operations and accounting functions
Prepare, review and analyse monthly management reports to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial and management reporting to both management and HQ, and recommend improvements where necessary
Prepare consolidated financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring proper elimination of intercompany transactions and adjustments during the consolidation process
Review and ensure accuracy of GST, corporate tax, withholding tax, and other statutory and legal reporting requirements
Prepare, analyse, and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management
Liaise with internal and external auditors, government authorities, bankers, etc. to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations
Develop policies and internal controls for all finance and credit-related processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies, international accounting standards, HQ accounting policies and J-Sox regulations
Stay up-to-date on key changes in accounting standards, GST, and tax regulations, provide regular updates to the finance team and implement relevant policy changes
Review and analyse project costing, financial ratios, and their implications, recommending countermeasures and cost improvement as necessary
Review, recommend, and implement process improvements and digitalization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Participate in special financial projects as required by management
Perform any other duties as assigned by your superior
Pre-requisites
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualifications
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar finance/accounting leadership role, including team management and supervisory responsibilities
Proven ability to handle full sets of accounts independently and accurately
Strong hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing, and filing GST returns, with thorough knowledge of IRAS compliance requirements
Sound understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting standards (SFRS), the Companies ACT, and relevant IRAS regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with practical experience in SAP Hana and SAP concur
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with keen attention to details
Able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
