We are looking for an independent Assistant HR Manager to support our growing operations in Singapore and Malaysia. This role partners with functional leaders to drive HR operations, payroll, employee experience and compliance while ensuring a positive and high-performing workspace.
HR Business Partnering
Partner with functional leaders on people strategies and workforce planning
Provide guidance on employee relations, HR systems and policies
Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, transfers, promotions and offboarding
Payroll & Rewards
Oversee end-to-end payroll for Singapore
Oversee end-to-end payroll for Malaysia through outsourced payroll vendors
Ensure payroll accuracy, statutory compliance and timely processing
Manage employee benefits, tax reporting, leave administration and insurance
Support annual salary reviews, bonuses and promotion exercises
HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR policies across Singapore and Malaysia
Maintain HRIS, employee records and HR reporting
Support HR process improvements, audits and digitalisation initiatives
Oversee office administration, workplace services and vendor management
Employee Engagement
Handle employee relations matters including investigations, grievances and disciplinary cases
Partner with stakeholders to continuously improve the employee experience
Role Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to:
o HR Operations
o Singapore & Malaysia Payroll
o Employment Legislation and Compliance
o Employee Relations
Hands-on experience managing outsourced payroll vendors
Good understanding of Singapore and Malaysia employment laws, statutory requirements and payroll regulations
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented
Comfortable working in a regional and matrix organisation
