Engineer, Hardware (Test Equipment Development)
Responsibilities:
Support in design and maintenance of electrical designs of automation solutions for production and test equipment.
Participate in the development of new production testing concepts as well as optimization of existing concepts.
Handling of specification document for supplier from R&D test requirement.
Review system proposal from supplier covering control, electrical and mechanical design.
Provide inputs in creation and implementation of security concepts.
Commissioning and Qualification of test equipment in production.
Interface between R&D Engineers, Production and suppliers.
Prepare calibration and maintenance manuals.
Coordinate on the procurement of operating equipment responsibility with the external supplier.
Requirements:
A Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or comparable qualification is preferred
Some exposure / experience in the production environment is an advantage.
Theory knowledge if existing is key. - To comprehend electrical/electronic schematic and mechanical 2D/3D drawing is a must and ability to create will be an added advantage.
Experience in interfacing sensors, actuators, measurement equipment with digital and analog I/O modules, PLC, PC, etc.
Experience of working with stepper and servo motor control is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of common industrial communication protocols such as RS232, Modbus, Ethernet, ProfiNet, etc.
Able to work independently and in a team and take initiative when required.
Strong communication skills and good team player.
Interest in interdisciplinary issues and strong affinity for technical topics.
