Position Overview
Seeking for a seasoned corporate communications leader who can navigate both government stakeholders and the public eye.
This role will be responsible for building and executing the comprehensive communication architecture for a new national project where you will establish the brand identity, navigate public sector heritage, manage diverse community and commercial stakeholders and design a robust crisis communication framework from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement and lead Public Relations and Corporate Communications roadmap for the pre-launch, launch and operational phases of the project
Navigate complex, multi-agency to government relationships to ensure unified messaging across all public-facing narratives.
Set up the entity's standard operating procedures for media engagement, press office, functions and tracking protocols.
Build and maintain strong networks with mainstream editors, journalists, defence correspondents, lifestyle media and digital content creators.
Design and implement the entity's 1st Crisis Communication Plan for various high-stakes scenarios
Oversee the digital Public Relations roadmap, working closely with marketing teams to synchronize social media messaging, website copy and community outreach.
Establish channels to listen to and address public feedback, ensuring the community feels a genuine sense of belonging to the venue.
Job Requirements
Minimum 10 yrs & above of professional experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations with media relations & min 5 years in a leadership/senior managerial capacity.
Proven experience managing high-stakes crisis communications with major public infrastructure, national events or public sector issues is highly preferred.
Prior experience in a start-up or greenfield business division where you successfully built comms processes from scratch is an advantage
Excellent written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders - from top-ranking government personnel and ministry officials to commercial operators and the general public.
