Electrical Design Manager (Technical/ Hardware/ Engineering/ Automation/ Motion Control/Mechatronics/R&D)

Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing Semiconductor machines. They are currently seeking for a Senior / Electrical Design Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team to determine all electrical and hardware requirements on product design to improve the performance of semiconductor machines

• Lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems and precision motion control subsystems used in semiconductor machines

• Oversee electrical schematic design, power electronics, motor drivers, and control boards.

• Support new product development from concept, design, prototype, Alpha/Beta testing through product release.

• Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, cost, and schedule targets.

• Establish and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices.

• Review and approve key technical designs and resolve complex technical issues.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, Applications, QA).

Requirements:

• Degree/ Masters in Electrical /Electronic Engineering or relevant qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant working experience in the industrial automation industry.

• Knowledge in motion control modeling and algorithm for ultra-high speed and high accuracy applications will be a plus.

• Strong in digital and power electronics design

• Understanding of standard analytical tools (e.g. Matlab, MathCAD, IDL)

• Control system analysis and design, familiar with Matlab tool for system analysis and simulation.

• Digital electronics design, power electronics design, like power supply and motor driver design, familiar with commercial design tools.

• Basic understanding of mechanical system integration is a plus.
