Our client is an established environmental services group with sizeable operations across Singapore and the region. As the group scales and digitalises its business, they are strengthening their IT function with a senior hire to lead technology strategy and drive new initiatives.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management and leading a small IT team, this is a strategic, ideas-driven role rather than a purely operational one. You will act as the group's technology thought leader — identifying and proposing new systems, AI and digital solutions to support the business and its project pipeline — while overseeing cybersecurity, data protection, ERP migration and IT governance. Day-to-day IT operations are handled by your team, freeing you to focus on transformation, new initiatives and safeguarding the group's systems and data.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, formulate and propose new technology, systems and AI-driven solutions to support business growth and project opportunities

• Lead the group's digital transformation roadmap, translating business and operational needs into digitalised systems

• Drive the migration of the group's finance/ERP platform (e.g. from legacy systems to Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics) and support CRM and other system implementations

• Oversee cybersecurity, firewall and cloud-platform integrity, and safeguard data across corporate and mobile devices used by a large field-based workforce

• Develop, complete and enforce IT policies, standards and governance in line with regulatory requirements

• Lead, manage and develop a small IT team, overseeing day-to-day operations, helpdesk, asset management and procurement at a supervisory level

• Manage IT budget, outsourced vendors, SLAs, infrastructure, systems uptime and business continuity

• Plan and roll out IT projects across the group of companies

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline

• 12+ years of IT experience with a track record of leading initiatives and proposing new systems and solutions, not purely operational IT management

• Hands-on experience with ERP migration (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and CRM systems

• Strong cybersecurity, cloud and data-governance knowledge, including mobile-device security for a distributed workforce

• Experience developing IT policies and managing budgets, vendors and SLAs

• A creative, proactive mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technology proposals and take ownership of projects

• Team leadership experience; relevant certifications (cloud, cybersecurity) are advantageous
