JOB OVERVIEW
(Summary of position/ Overall responsibility)
Responsible for managing and coordinating customer tenders, RFQs and pricing activities for both Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) ocean freight service. The role focuses on developing competitive, accurate and profitable pricing solutions through effective procurements from carriers, coleaders and haulers while supporting business growth and customer retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Key tasks)
Tender & RFQ Management
Manage end-to-end tender and RFQ process for FCL and LCL across regional and global trade lanes
Review customer requirements and prepare comprehensive pricing proposal, ensuring compliance with tender specifications and service requirements.
Ensure all tenders and quotations are submitted accurately and within the required deadline
Maintain a centralized database of tender submissions, awarded business and pricing records
Pricing & Development
Procure and negotiate competitive freight rates, carrier contracts, and service agreement with shipping lines, NVOCCs and vendors
Monitor carriers GRI, PSS and other market driven cost changes
Analyze carrier and co-loader performance, service reliability and pricing competitiveness
Support strategic procurement initiative to improve profitability and service offering
Pricing Strategy & Analysis
Develop competitive pricing models while maintaining targeted profit margins
Conduct cost and profitability analysis for FCL and LCL business opportunities
Perform trade lane analysis and market benchmarking to support pricing decisions
Provide recommendations on pricing strategies based on market trends, carrier capacity and customer requirement
Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with respective stakeholders to develop pricing strategies for key accounts.
Proving pricing guidance and commercial support during customer negotiations
Work with operations and customer service teams to ensure pricing solutions are operationally feasible and sustainable
Collaborate with regional procurement team on RFQs and global tenders
Vendor management
Maintain and implement transporter allocation strategy
Support the on boarding of new vendors and yearly vendor evaluation process
Monitor vendor’s performance on the KPIs assigned
Gather feedback from relevant stakeholders on vendor performance and address challenges faced
Join and support regular business review meetings with vendors
Others
Any other job-related tasks assigned by the superior.
Back up Pricing and Development team members as and when needed
Adherence to the Code of Conduct policy of the DSV Group

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE
Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics or Maritime Business/Logistics
Minimum 3 years of Tender Management, Pricing and Freight Forwarding experience
Strong working knowledge of ocean freight structures and ocean freight market dynamics
Well verse knowledge on Excel.
