Quest Global is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design, power electronics integration, and advanced cable and harness development for high-performance semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
The selected candidate will own end-to-end product delivery, from conceptual design through validation and production release, while working closely with global cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, high-reliability solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Design & Power Electronics Development
Lead electrical system architecture, schematic design, and development for complex capital equipment
Design and implement power electronics systems, including servo drives, power distribution, and discrete power amplifiers
Drive continuous improvement for next-generation platforms and enhancements of existing systems
2. Advanced Cable & Harness Engineering
Design continuous-flex cable systems for machine interconnections using Zuken E3.cable
Develop and validate 3D cable routing using Siemens NX, ensuring compliance with bend radius, fit, and clearance requirements
Integrate 2D schematics with 3D mechanical routing models for accurate system-level configuration
3. Product Lifecycle Execution & Configuration Control
Manage the complete product lifecycle including prototyping, testing, debugging, and production release
Control release of PCBs, cable assemblies, and routing designs using Siemens Teamcenter
Ensure alignment across BOMs, schematics, and mechanical designs
4. System Testing, Validation & Compliance
Perform board-level and system-level validation testing
Lead hardware bring-up, signal diagnostics, and troubleshooting
Develop and execute engineering verification and reliability test plans
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment
Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and field teams to resolve system-level issues
Support production escalations and field performance challenges
Coordinate with vendors and external partners for technical deliverables and schedules
6. Technical Documentation & Design Reviews
Prepare technical specifications and detailed engineering documentation
Generate and maintain JT2Go files for visualization and design reviews
Lead design reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Proven experience in electrical system design and capital equipment development
Core Technical Competencies
Strong expertise in circuit design, analysis, and component selection
Knowledge of power electronics and electrical power distribution systems
Experience in control systems, PID control, and feedback mechanisms
Familiarity with motor control systems (DC servo, stepper motors)
Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, differential probes, logic analyzers)
Preferred Skills
Experience with Zuken E3.cable / E3.schematic
Hands-on experience in Siemens NX cable/harness routing
Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter
Experience using JT2Go for design visualization
Knowledge of communication protocols (RS485, Ethernet, PCIe, LVDS)
Understanding of machine-level electrical architecture
