Java Delivery Lead (Bank, Permanent) - #1164194

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solutioning and design, translating requirements into scalable, maintainable architectures and reviewing design decisions across teams.

• Ensure engineering quality and governance, enforcing technical standards, conducting design and code reviews, and proactively managing technical risks.

• Provide technical leadership to offshore and vendor teams, ensuring deliverables align with approved designs, standards, and project timelines.

• Support delivery and testing activities, including unit, integration, and UAT phases, while ensuring deployment readiness and production stability.

• Drive problem management and continuous improvement, leading root cause analysis and enhancing development practices, processes, and automation initiatives.

• Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing, fostering best practices in design, development, and testing across the team.

Requirements

• 8 years’ experience in Java (J2EE, Spring) and modern front-end frameworks (Angular, AngularJS, React, ReactJS) with involvement in workflow systems; banking/financial services preferred.

• Strong experience in solution design, quality governance, and offshore/vendor oversight.

• Experience in deploying and maintaining cloud-native Java applications on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Hands-on exposure to container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.

• Experience leading or mentoring software developers.

• Hands-on experience with workflow/BPM platforms (e.g., Newgen BPM).
