Senior/Analytical Chemist (Flavour) - #1164177

Job Description:

• Perform chemical and sensory analysis of flavours and fragrances, ingredients and market products using approved methodologies (e.g., GC-MS).

• Establish suitable and effective analytical methods and build analytical spectral libraries, completing the validation and expansion of relevant detection methods

• Develop the laboratory methodology for the GC and GCMS with regards to the extraction and separation.

• Partner with flavourists and R&D team to develop market-ready solutions.

• Participate in testing and evaluation panels

• Use and maintain the GC-MS system, including replacement of parts and troubleshooting

• Work with quality team to investigate non-conformance issues

• Maintain accurate records of test results in accordance with company documentation standards.

• Manage and maintain analytical laboratory in accordance with company guidelines and safety protocols

• Ensure all analysis adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.

• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Possess a Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related

• At least 4 years of relevant experience

• Good knowledge of flavour and fragrance chemistry and aroma ingredients

• Strong understanding of method development and validation protocols

• Analytical mindset with good interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficient in MS Office applications
