(1) Lead and oversee nursing clinical care delivery and advance nursing practices

  • Oversee care practices and care delivery outcomes, including development of care pathways based on shared vision across Organisation and community

  • Develop care models and/or services to address emerging healthcare needs or care transformation

  • Develop and implement strategies to advance nursing practices

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve quality outcomes and advance evidence-based care

  • Identify relevant quality improvement indicators for client and/or service outcomes and nursing practice

  • Evaluate nursing practices and client care and/or service excellence with reference to structure, process and outcome frameworks

  • Build inter-professional collaboration among nursing, medical, and allied health professionals to achieve optimal client care and/or service outcomes, appropriate care and effective integration of care

  • Promote a culture that focuses on person-directed care

(2) Drive organisational and operational excellence

  • Prepare and manage operational and budget work plans

  • Set directions, targets and work plans aligned to organisational priorities

  • Determine and ensure nursing service standards to ensure optimal service delivery and excellence

  • Establish procedures for service recovery and manage customer feedback, including working with stakeholders for managing of customer issues to full closure.

  • Lead and work with stakeholders to execute and sustain service quality initiatives to build service culture, standards & customer satisfaction.

  • Drive operational process improvement

(3) Oversee nursing workforce capability building through continuing professional development

  • Create a culture of lifelong learning within the organisation

  • Oversee continuing professional development investments and returns to nursing workforce capability and development

  • Develop the care workforce capabilities for ongoing organisational needs and workforce’ aspirational goals

  • Develop nursing leadership in the organisation for succession planning

(4) Drive ground engagement and empowerment

  • Create a conducive working and learning environment to enhance staff morale and support the professional and personal development of our care workforce

  • Promote participation in staff recognition programmes

  • Create an environment that promotes a culture of continuous improvement

(5) Oversee nursing and support care manpower

  • Manage manpower resource, in alignment with Ministry of Health (MOH) staffing recommendations, to achieve efficiency in manpower utilisation to meet organisational needs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on manpower recruitment, retention strategies and initiatives

  • Establish clear competency-based career progression pathways for care staff

  • Develop succession plans and mentor identified high-potential care staff

  • Create a conducive work environment to improve care workforce retention

(6) Drive care quality and patient safety

  • Establish care quality and patient safety work plans

  • Report on care and service quality indicators

  • Benchmark care outcome indicator measurements to international standards

  • Adopt new technology and electronic tools and devices for better quality and patient safety outcomes

  • Manage adverse events according to organisational framework

  • Participate in claims and compensations management in adverse events

  • Lead nursing to achieve local and international accreditations

(7) Drive compliance activities and operations

  • Implement systems and processes to ensure compliance with MOH and regulatory standards

  • Responsible for obtaining and successful renewal of licenses for all care services

  • Lead, develop and implement infection control policies and practices to ensure fit for purpose and initiate change where appropriate

  • Oversee risk management strategies, including identification, monitoring and evaluation of nursing-sensitive quality and safety indicators

  • Provide leadership, develop and manage emergency response and crisis management plans in accordance with organisational direction including collaboration with relevant departments and stakeholder
