The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth of the company’s power supply and power test solutions by providing both technical expertise and commercial support.
This role bridges customers’ technical requirements with suitable product solutions, supporting customers from pre‑sales to after‑sales stages.
Job Scope
1. Sales & Business Development
Promote and sell Switch Mode Power Supplies, AC Sources, DC Programmable Power Supplies, and related solutions.
Identify and develop new customers in industries such as electronics manufacturing, R&D labs, automation, EV, renewable energy, and testing facilities.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts to achieve sales targets.
Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales deals.
2. Technical Support (Pre‑Sales)
Understand customer applications and technical requirements.
Recommend suitable products and configurations based on specifications (voltage, current, power rating, load type, etc.).
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions.
Support customers with product selection, system integration, and application guidance.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Build long‑term relationships with customers, system integrators, and distributors.
Act as the main technical and commercial contact point for customers.
Handle customer inquiries, RFQs, and tenders efficiently.
4. After‑Sales & Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, service) to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Assist customers with basic troubleshooting and liaise with service teams when necessary.
Gather customer feedback and market information for continuous product improvement.
5. Market & Product Intelligence
Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing.
Provide feedback on customer needs and market demand to product management.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars when required.
Job Requirements
Education
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
Experience
Min. 2 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or sales engineering.
Experience with power supplies, test & measurement equipment, industrial electronics, or similar products is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Basic understanding of:
Power electronics and electrical specifications
AC/DC power systems
AC sources, DC programmable power supplies (preferred)
Ability to read datasheets, block diagrams, and basic electrical schematics.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Customer‑oriented mindset with problem‑solving ability.
Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel for customer visits when required.
