Position: Supplier Quality Management, Executive
Role & Responsibilities:
Supplier Quality Management & Development
Support to develop and implement supplier quality plans for new and existing programs.
Participate in evaluation and qualify new suppliers through capability assessment, audits, and review of quality systems.
Aid in monitoring supplier performance using defined KPIs (e.g. PPM, on-time delivery, COPQ) and maintain supplier scorecards.
Support in supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality and delivery targets.
Manage supplier non-conformance, lead root cause analysis (e.g. 8D), and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Supplier Audits & Compliance
Support in the planning and conduct of supplier audits (new supplier qualification, periodic, and for-cause audits).
Assess supplier compliance to company requirements and relevant standards (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).
Document audit findings, track corrective actions, and verify effectiveness of improvements.
Support supplier certification, approval, and onboarding processes.
Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) & Part Release
Support new product introduction (NPI) projects by leading supplier quality activities under APQP.
Coordinate and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) / initial sample submissions with suppliers.
Review supplier process documentation (FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow) to ensure readiness for production.
Conduct process audits / readiness reviews to ensure suppliers meet quality requirements prior to mass production.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to ensure supplier alignment with product and process requirements.
Provide technical support and guidance on supplier quality matters.
Participate in design reviews, change management, and risk assessments related to supplied parts.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Other degree's holder from recognized institutions with relevant working experiences will be considered. 2–5 years of experience in Supplier Quality / Manufacturing Quality.
2- 3 years of supplier quality management relevant experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of quality core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D.
Experienced and strong technical knowledge of the following commodities:
- Metal stamping, machining and surface treatments requirements.
- MIM production.
- Plastic injection molding.
Experience in supplier audits; VDA 6.3 / ISO Lead Auditor is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
