About the role
This role blends project engineering and contractual management (80%) with drafting and technical documentation (20%).
On the management side, you will handle project financials—including quantity take-offs, cost estimations, quotations, monthly progress claims, Variation Orders, and final accounts—while coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to manage logistics, fabrication timelines, and compliance. On the technical side, you will prepare, update, and clarify AutoCAD drawings, verify them against actual site conditions, and maintain strict version control to support construction and fabrication.
Key responsibilities
Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and preparation of accurate quotations and commercial documents for project tender submissions
Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, manage Variation Orders, and handle finalization of project accounts
Coordinate effectively with client representatives, consultants, project managers, and site teams
Attend site meetings for progress coordination, collaborative problem-solving, and decision-making
Manage subcontract issues, fabrication timelines, and logistics
Review project specifications and identify potential structural or material feasibility issues
Ensure installations meet functional, safety, and aesthetic requirements
Maintain precise, updated records of materials, measurements, and project costs
Prepare, update, and modify AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and detailed drawings
Provide clear drawing clarifications to project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors
About you
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years experience working in a construction, engineering, or fabrication environment as a Project Engineer or Coordinator
Hands-on experience in generating and modifying technical drawings
Highly proficient in AutoCAD
Ability to read, interpret, and cross-reference complex engineering/architectural blueprints, structural details, and material specifications
Solid understanding of quantity take-offs, cost estimation, progress claims, and VO processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle structural or logistical bottlenecks on-site
Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
