Working Location: North area
Mon - Fri: 8.45am - 5.30pm
Your Role, Your Influence:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the hydraulic sector, actively prospecting and qualifying leads to build a strong pipeline
Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to clients, offering tailored hydraulic solutions that meet their specific requirements
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential and existing customers
Conduct site visits and assessments to understand customer operational needs and recommend appropriate hydraulic systems and components
Collaborate with the technical and engineering teams to develop custom solutions and ensure product specifications align with customer expectations
Manage the sales process from initial contact through to contract negotiation and closure, maintaining accurate records and documentation
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their primary point of contact for technical and commercial matters
Provide post-sale technical support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for repeat business
Participate in industry events, trade shows and networking activities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the hydraulic industry to inform sales strategy and positioning
What we're looking for
Proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, preferably within the hydraulic, mechanical engineering or industrial equipment sectors
Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, components and applications, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and building successful client relationships in a B2B environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical experts and senior management
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify customer challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions
Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness, with a focus on building mutually beneficial partnerships
Willingness to travel within the North Region for client visits and meetings as required
Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering, hydraulics or related technical fields are advantageous
The Ingredients for Success:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Hands-on knowledge in using AutoCAD and Solidworks is an advantage
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Goal-oriented and hard-working.
Willingness to travel.
