QS Inspector (Painting & Coating Works) - #1163199

Quantity Surveying Responsibilities

• Perform full QS duties including material take-off, quantity measurement, and variation works

• Carry out quantity measurement for structural, piping, electrical & instrumentation, mechanical, equipment, and painting/coating works

• Interpret contract documents and provide cost advice for variations and additional works

• Assist in tender preparation, including quantity take-off and BOQ development

• Evaluate tender pricing and prepare cost estimates for projects and variations

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and authorities for project execution

• Monitor project cost and timeline to support effective cost control

• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and project teams

Painting & Coating Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead painting crews and subcontractors on site

• Review painting systems for each project and establish procedures and inspection methods

• Monitor paint application, mixing, surface preparation, and workmanship

• Ensure quality control of blasting and painting activities in accordance with project specifications

• Carry out any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Marine, or Construction industry

• Possess NACE Level 1 certification; NACE Level 2 will be an advantage

• Experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, tendering, and painting/coating works

• Supervisory experience in blasting and painting activities is preferred

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Able to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
